China Specialized MCN adoba(hereinafter referred to as “adoba”) has surpassed 200 content creators. Such an achievement came only 4 months after they have surpassed 100 content creators, back in December of last year.
adoba targets the only video platform market that Youtube officially could not enter, China. Since the October of 2019, adoba has paved the way to Chinese video platforms for global creators by removing barriers like channel opening, authentication, and monetization.
Including Rainbow ToyTocToc, Piki Pictures, W TABLE and UNA, adoba cooperates with over 200 content creators who have a total of 76 million Youtube subscribers between them. Having started solely on Haokan video, they have quickly expanded and became a certified partner MCN of 8 major Chinese video platforms like Xigua video, Bilibili, Douyin and NetEase Cloud Music within a year and a half since their business launch. It now operates approximately 540 channels across 12 different Chinese video platforms. They now also support TicTokers, Instagrammers, and streamers that desire to enter the Chinese market as well.
“We were able to increase our partners in such a short periood of time and operate all Chinese platform channels because of our technologies such as our multi-platform big data collection and processing system and a self-developed CMS(Content Management System),” said Ahn Junhan, the CEO of adoba. “We are looking to further accelerate the recruitment of global creators, and expand our No.1 partner in China title to worldwide level.”
As a result of operating firsthand all channels by localizing creators’ content based on the data they have collected through monitoring Chinese video platform’s trends, variables and regulations, adoba’s Chinese platform channels have a total of 4.5 million subscribers and are looking to surpass 300 million views.
adoba not only cooperates with individual creators, but also with local MCNs(SANDBOX NETWORK, Majors Network), content production companies(TV Chosun, Page Laboratory), and government agencies(Seoul Business Agency, Korea Radio Promotion Association). Outside of Korea, adoba has signed exclusive agreements with foreign MCNs like HMD(Russia), and UpToLevel Media(Finland) in order to help their creators enter Chinese video platforms.
Recently, adoba is planning the launch of ‘adobaTV’, which offers live broadcasting beyond VODs with the aim of diversifying content distribution channels, and is also discovering the optimal live commerce model for China.
